Gumasta License

The shops and Establishment Act in India is proclaimed by the state and may slightly differ from state to state. It is mandatory for anyone, be it an individual or an organization, intending to initiate a business. The license is valid for a period of one to a lifetime, depending on the state regulations.

How to Obtain Gumasta License Registration

Gumasta License is to be obtained from Municipal Corporation/Authority or any local authority of the city. Documents are to be submitted with a form, which can be obtained from the website of the Labour Department or directly from the office of the authority, alongwith the requisite Fees. To obtain a Gumasta License, the registration office inspects your premises to verify the information provided. It's important to note that this license is provided to all organizations, regardless of their number of employees.

Process for Gumasta License Online Renewal

  • First, go to the website of the labour department of the respective state.
  • Look for the option of Renew Registration.
  • Provide all the necessary details as mentioned in the application form
  • Upload the supporting documents required for renewal
  • Pay the renewal fee
  • Check the status of your application to see if it has been approved or rejected
  • Once approved, you will be able to download the registration certificate of the Gumasta License.

It is important to note that if the renewal is not done on time, a late fee of 50% of the total renewal fee will be charged at the time of renewal. The renewal must take place at least 30 days before the expiry of registration or within 30 days after the expiry date of the registration certificate.
